Here’s what I’m thinking about too much these days:
I know that we’re all kinda transitioning away from winter mentally, but it’s Still Cold. To that end, I’m obsessed with this Sofie D’Hoore reversible(!) checked(!!) down(!!!) coat.
Not too long ago, I took a chance on the Sainte T solid perfume from Maison Balzac, a collaboration with the incredible florist Doctor Cooper. They had me at “a thousand cut flowers” and “Carmelite nun” — and also “patron of florists.” The solid perfume might not(?) be available anymore, but my favorite little treat thing to do is rub a generous amount on my wrists during hang-at-home days. I love how the scent — about as iconically “floral” and “spring” as you can get — gets caught in my lounge sweatshirts. For me, this is quiet luxury.
Speaking of sweatshirts, I guess I collect art sweatshirts (and long-sleeved tees) now. My latest was from Sister Spinster — I’ve been wearing it non-stop at home since I ripped open the package. I encourage you, if you haven’t already, to consider art sweatshirts for your clothing needs.
Not too long ago, I grabbed a Wacky Wacko t-shirt, and it quickly became a favorite. The weight and cut are absolutely spot-on. I’m toying with getting another — either this incredible B-52s tribute, or this Rosemary’s Baby (THE NOVEL!) shirt.
May soon add a few new magazine issues to my collection: Tauko #10, Elle Collections/Marie Claire Style HS 26/Vogue Collections (good to Keep Up With the Collections*!), and The World of Interiors March 2024 (bc of the Bode feature…) Also, look at this amazing WoI cover archive.
This is my latest favorite win from ~my auctions.~
*I’m reading Winnie-the-Pooh for the first time ever, and I’m obsessed with the erratic but perfectly logical capitalization style. It will be hard not to type this way forever; I want to steal it.
